This giraffe busy book is great for travelling with kids. The materials are soft but strong. Each part is sewn well. I like that there are a variety of activities in the book, including matching colors, making real life pictures, and just having fun. The velcro works well for using this book while traveling and keeping the parts from sliding off easily.
This is a great travel activity and fits easily into a diaper bag. It's also keeps them entertained during quiet time. I'm very happy with it and we're getting a lot of use out of it!

The useful thing is that each page is a separate task, so you can hold two or three pages back and bring them out later in a flight rather than opening everything at once. The pages parents tell us their children come back to most are the caterpillar threading and the animal faces.

Around two they start matching on purpose. By four and five they are sorting the shapes and naming the feelings on the giraffe page. It is one of the few toys that stays useful across that whole stretch rather than being outgrown in a month.
